LBI- Reel Time Sportfishing 6/21
« on: June 21, 2008, 07:43:43 PM »
Another early start meeting up at the boat at 3:30am. On board was Capt. Mike, Capt. John, Joe, and myself. It was this day last year Capt. Mike caught a nice striper in front of the red tower so with high hopes and seas as flat as glass we gave it a shot. Bunker were in low numbers and on the bottom, we snagged a few but no Bass to tempt so we headed out for some Fluke. Made a few drifts with a fleet of boats, still some decent size Sea Bass on structure but the Fluke in 80' of water were far and few between. Better luck next week!

On a side note Capt. John went out with a friend of his up around the Point Pleasant area last night and both brought in 4 striper all over 40 pounds. Capt. John caught his best yet a 50 pounder!!! TT^

Awesome! t^  That second pic is great!  He's got that big (50 lb.) smile and he looks he's still fighting that fish in the boat! ;D

For some reason I thought he had taken those fish from the beach. 5hrug  Doesn't matter though.  A 50 lber is a 50 lber no matter where you catch it! ;)

Congrats! chrz

Your thoughts were in line for Capt. Johnny's norm...When it comes to Striper he does 99% of his fishing from the suds  TT^
