Went down to Pt. Pleasant for a few days for some R&R with the Mrs.last week.

On Thursday we grabbed some Green Crabs and Salted Clams and hit the Pt. Pleasant Canal on the east side off Canal St.

Fished for about and hour and a half and managed 10 cookie cutter Togs. Wife had a blast. Little warm up for the season.

Looked around the Carver boat basin for some Mullet to snag and drop but there was none around.

Hit the Monger on Friday open day Seabass with Kenny and stayed on the "Bisque side" of the street. Although we did do a little Seabass Eve celebration with Capt. Jerry on Thursday. ;D

hit the canal today with the husband. Had three keepers between us, only keeping our limit. It was a steady pick for a while. Lots of fun.

hi, this is my 1st post and i know this is an old thread but i need some PPC fishing help. I will be in PPB from Sunday-Wednesday. any help in catching something in or near the canal (from shore) at this time of the season would be great. where to go, what bait, how to rig etc. I will be with my son and his friend so it would be great to get them some fish.

We made our first attempt for this season at the canal this weekend.    Fished clams and crabs for 2 hrs either side of high tide.  We had steady action the whole time with the wife being high hook up to a 15.5in keeper.
BTW....General Tso's blackfish is pretty damn good.

Very different results today.  Second 1/2 of incoming afternoon tide.  Only 3 fish between the two of us in 3hrs.
Still better than work.
