Fish On's Manasquan Inlet Report 7/1/08
« on: July 01, 2008, 04:46:38 PM »
Fished the Inlet today, started around 830 AM ended around 230 PM. About a dozen shorts, few 16-17 1/4 inches, all others smaller. As many sea robins as you want, and plenty of SEAWEED for a good portion of the day. Used chartruese swimming mullet, and killies today. Great day to be out fishin. Better luck next time.

I caught someone elses line that must have snapped, and it had a live 16 inch fluke on the other end of it, I saved its life  TT^ TT^

Good report, sounds like you had a good day. Lots of cabbage and weed today in the inlet, river and canal, much higher than it's been for the past week. Try fishing the little park, right behind the resturant thats closed at the end of the parking lot. I know a lady thats been fishing there with live killes, and while she's getting plenty of shorts, she's getting keepers too.

Yes Garry I fished behind that Cafe that is now been closed for a while. Heard yesterday a 23 incher and a 19 incher came out right there. They are out there, you just have to work your way around a good piece of structure or something that keeps giving you snags about 20 feet out from the wall.  t^ t^

Good fishing Mark,  I can remember the time you couldn't catch a cold let alone a fish.  Way to go my friend, keep up the good work and stay off the gambling sites... grtn

Happy Catching

I was also at the inlet about the
same time your were. Fished the sea
wall by the rest rooms. Caught some
short fluke and lots of sea robins
in that area also. Killies seemed to
work best. Will try again on Friday

Cool if we could determine how long that fish you saved had been dragging that hook and sinker around. Now he might be the next record fish,or reproduce more fluke.Nice.
