swamps are not for many expecialy at night but there is somethings everyone should see just once ,it is something when the tree frogs are just over your head or when a coon is hanging from a limb eating.for the most part you cant see much so you have to use your ears and feel the bottom w/ your feet so you dont go for a swim ,the bugs get you but it goes w/ the game only thing that truely creeps me out are the spiders.

we almost went down there but I scouted this spot out last week ,I plan on hitting that spot before summers end ,I used to hit it a couple times a season but now frogs seem hard to come by so I only hit a spot 1-2 times a season

A man is sitting in a fancy restaurant looking over the dinner menu.  He turns to the waiter and asks, "Do you have frog's legs?"

The waiter replies, "But of course, sir"

The man says, "Well then, hop into the kitchen and get me a turkey sandwich!" ;D

Ba da boom... grtn

I love frogs legs.  When I was a lot younger we went camping up in Long lake in Mich. the fishing was great and one night we were boared and the sound of the frogs was defining so out to the canoes we went with flash lights and by the time we were done the lake was quiet.

It is amazing how the light reflects in their eyes and they just freeze.

Before we left the lake we had a feast for the families on the lake which numbered about 15 or so. We skinned the frogs legs and put them in salted water for a while, breaded them and fried them, along with a Northern Pike which I caught over 32 inches.  And a whole mess of large mouth bass.  I have to say that was a summer to remember.  I had my dad on that trip and what a blast.

Sorry for rambling but the memories just came flooding back.

Happy Catching (whatever)

Paul

Nice report and pics Catfish! t^ It sure brings back some good memories.. When I lived in Jersey, a few of my buddies from Sportsmens Center and I used to go all the time..always a blast..Hot, sweaty, muddy and buggy..but I love it  hhppy and they certainly do have some tasty appendages ..None of my buddies up here have any interest in frog-giggin..afraid to get their skirts dirty i guess  rofla I haven't thrown a gig in anger since moving out of NJ... Thanks for bringing it all rushing back!  chrz
