nice post, if I saw it a few weeks ago, I may have entered.  I am sure it was posted somewhere, but I probably didn't find it.  I love these tournaments..

there are a ton of large fluke this year.  The funny part last week was, most of the large ones came dragging a single Killie.  Go figure.  Big baits don't always mean big fish.  Just keep trying different things as different things work every day. I think only 1 20" fish came from the spro.

if your fishing with a few people, make sure everyone is doing something different until you find what is working.  Some people may not want to change what they are like to do, but in a tournament, you have to work to find what is working.

We were in a parking lot full of boats and the only one catching keepers.  We were still catching when everyone left us.  It goes to show ya, you can find a great honey hole, but you still have to get them to bite.

I think only 1 20" fish came from the spro.

The 24" #5 I caught came off a 1.5 ounce glow Spro tipped with a 4" GULP white swimming minnow & a short squid strip.... ;D.

Yea, I much perfer the tournies where you weight in more than just 1 fish.

No fishing this weekend for me as I'm going down to North Carolina on Friday to visit my sister who is not doing well.

Nick let me know if there is going to be another tournament at the end of August.

then 2 fish with the spro.  I got a 20"er with a 3 oz spro and squid strip.

I will talk to the mods and try to get another date for another tournament.
