Sorry for the delay in posts... I had to address a hatch issue on my P130. Seems as though the Phoenix hatch covers fit so well that, while in the surf, if the boat smacks a big wave with enough force you can pop the hatch cover. Well, of course, I did it a few weeks back!! So I spoke with my dealer, George, down at The Paddle Shack in Mays Landing and he set me up with a new hatch cover, straps, buckles pad-eyes & SS hardware to make a killer strap system:

The seamstress at the local dry-clearners did a beautiful with the stitch work & did it all at no cost! Here's an example of her work:

Ok, back to that crate... Here's how I finally attached the light:
Used bungee on the back to keep it in place, even if I dump:

Side shot, hooked to the pipe strap:

The white thing holding the bungee is a 1/4" cable clamp, they create the anchor I need & won't let me loose the bungee either!

The crate won't get a lid, there's enough bungee to keep things in place:

I created notches to hold the crate in the well, again,in the event of dumpage:

All together in the back of the 'yak:

Here are a couple shots of "flyguide's" crate. It should be noted that the long crate was cut down and reassembled with zip-ties to get it to fit the tankwell!

flyguide custom made the rod-holders by heating the PVC then using a bottle to create the flare!

The huge PVC with cap hold flyguide's anchor & anchor line...
