2nd Annual Big Dog Fluke Tournament
« on: July 27, 2008, 08:07:33 PM »
Left out of Keyport at sunrise with Scott, Jennifer, Brian, and Larry.  Netted a bunch of peanuts, loaded the live well and headed straight out to work the channel.  We had a nice pick for the first couple of hours. As soon as we dropped down we were hittin em one after the other.   Must have put three or four in the box after the first few drifts.  Also, caught a bunch of shorts and some robins too.  Moved around from spot to spot after the pick slowed down and then decided to head out front.  Picked up one short fluke, a sand shark, a robin, and a starfish.  Sorry Brian but the one thing I’ve learned from being on the boat with Scott is that  “You don’t leave fish to find fish”..had to stick that one in there.. s5r s5r.  So we headed back to the drawing board for the remainder of the day and caught a bunch of shorts.   Came in about 1:30 pm with a tally of 10 keepers ranging from about 19-22” and took second place in the tournament with a three fish weigh in.  It was a great day out on the water!!!!!  slt

Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Well maybe if you contributed more fish to the box the beatings would have been less severe  rofla But I will say your rigs are the ticket they are all Im gonna use so keep on tying. Thanks to all you guys I couldnt have asked for a better crew.Hopefully team blacklist can repeat in the next tournament.Jen you are out of probation now and considered a permanent member. slt
