Waited around till 845 this morning hoping the fog would lift. It did lift some and we decided to give it a try.

With the radar and chartplotter both in action we cleared the inlet without incident and headed north.

Made a stop off of Bradley Beach and immediately started hauling in short fluke. Did get two keepers out of there.

Moved further north to Asbury Park. More shorts and another keeper.

Last move was the a lump off of Ocean Grove. This proved to be the best spot of the day. Caught six more keepers and two seabass after several drifts.

Approached our last fishing area (Ocean Grove) while still in the fog. The fog lifted in the early afternoon.

The party boat in the pic was less than 1/16 of a mile from us.

Will be out again tomorrow.  t^

Nice ... did you try the radar perimeter? Would hae been a good day for it. I woke up and couldn't see across the lagoon at 6 AM.

Ken, no I didn't try the perimeter. I usually shut down the motor when drifting. I can listen and I am always looking. There was not a lot of boating traffic today. The party boat and a charter boat where the only boats I saw when the fog finally lifted.

Nice catch!!  Thanks again for the reports.  It was very foggy out when I left the house on the mainland around 0800.  Was thinking how foggy it must be on the water!!
