Atlantic Highlands 8/3
« on: August 03, 2008, 06:35:37 PM »
Went out of AH at 0630 and the wind was blowing 10-15 WNW. Made it out to the TC. Fished to the top of the tide with 4 or 5 shorts, Robins and one 19” keeper. Wind laid down a bit, headed back with no problems. Watched a guy run his boat pretty fast onto the ramp. (20-25 Ft boat) to put the plug in. I think most people forgot that a least once in there boating years, but most people panic. Went to get the truck and found someone move the back of my trailer so they could get out. Spent ½ hour looking for the fork lift to move it over. They put it ½” from another trailer and I was pulled all of the way against a fence.
All in all it was nice to get out, haven’t been to the hook since June.
Today they gave me a coupon for a free launch at I buy 7. I asked for a credit for the times I went April thru June.
No Dice
Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Agree'd  t^
Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years.

Nice report, Rick. You are not a trailer boat owner unless you leave the plug out at least once.  TT^
