Left the dock at 7 AM with 11 aboard....stiff West wind on the outgoing pretty much ruled out Ambrose today, so Capt John set up on the Reach #10 bouy where we worked the channel down to the #6 bouy.
Nice drifting conditions and a fairly good bite until the last hour or so where we had wind against conditions.
Fish were holding on the red side of the channel.
Dragging bait seemed to do better today than jigging, although I had 2 of my 4 keepers on a teaser with Gulp! chartreuse strips in the first hour of fishing.
Most had at least one keeper...pool was about 4 lbs.....my largest had a freshly ingested manta shrimp in it's stomach...a couple of youngsters got a kick out of exploring the shrimp...nasty looking creatures.
Nice day on the water with a good group of regulars....beats working.
