capsized off of the HOOK...
« on: August 17, 2008, 03:25:46 PM »
did anyone else see the boat on Saturday that was flipped over off of Sandy Hook...  the Coast Guard was on the scene so we didnt want to go over and get in their way...

I'm not sure if it was a boat that capsized... or if it was a boat that became loose the night before during the storm ... or what...  5hrug

We were on the way out to the hook when my son spotted the capsized boat. It must have happened right before we got there. Another boat was on scene rescuing the 3 boaters that were in the water hanging on to the almost submerged boat. The boat that was rescuing the boaters waved me off. I circled the boats to provide any assistance if it was needed.

My heart goes out to those boaters, they lost everything but they were lucky, they escaped with their lives.

A nice job by the other boat. They did a wonderfull job.
