OK, I've been getting ready for this.  I broke out my 10' rod and slapped some new line on my old 704Z.  So it looks like I may even be chucking some bait that day!

I would encourage more of our members to join us.  What a great opportunity to meet and hang out with the folks you have been chatting with here!  And for those of you that don't have any gear, that's no problem.  I will bring a couple of extra rods, rigs, sand spikes etc. for anyone that needs anything.

So whether you're an experienced surf rat or never threw a long rod in your life, come on down!  This day should be a blast!

Bayonne pretty decent fishing in there.  Lake Manalapan is in Thompson Park...has decent lm bass, good pickerel, crappie and perch too!

It will be a falling tide all morning and will be dead low at 11:30.

OK.  So just to clear things up.  Are there really any "official" hours for this thing?  I know we have a pool going.  I just want to know if I go out early and catch a big 'un at 7:00am, will it count towards the pool or do we have to wait until 9:00?  Also, what is the deadline for weighing in?  Since some has expressed a desire to leave before the original 4:00 end time, I would suggest we move the final weigh-in up a bit as well.  Maybe 2:00 or so?  What do y'all think?

There is that four letter word in the forecast for Friday:

Saturday: A chance of rain, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 63. Breezy, with a south wind between 17 and 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

I guess we will have to make a decision on Friday night and get the word out as soon as possible.

The rain should hold off until late noon....So we should still be able to get a couple hours in Saturday....The fish dont mind there wet anyway..
