Saturday and Sunday Surf Reports
« on: October 05, 2008, 08:36:26 AM »
  grtn
Well first, thanks for all the pats on the back for my couple of short fish.  TT^

Both days, myself and my father grtn were on the beach around 0515 and ran south from Kittywake to the pier stopping at a couple of cuts along the way. Each cut, hanging out for about 30 minutes to sink a few clams. we did not produce any fish but just that good quality time with pops made it more then worth it!

I will be out at least 2-3 during this upcoming week. Let ya know how I make out!!!

'Till next time... Capt. A OUT

Good try Capt. Ant,

I tell you what just being out at IBSP on Sunday and seeing everything imaginable being used that day I have come to the conclusion that the barometer is the only misunderstood factor in the process here.

The moon is almost New which is good, the timing of the tides could be a little better, the waves were almost non existent, there were tons of sand eels in the wash with nothing chasing them.

Not even the birds were working for the most part.  We need another blow to churn things up once more.  Or a good old cold front to come through and stay for a while.

But looking at my barometer that is not going to happen to soon as the readings have been going up steadily.

Happy Catching

Paul

got out on saturday to fish the morning and the evening.  landed one short around 26" in the morning on a bomber.  this was at the hook, and there were plenty of anglers out there.  fished again saturday evening, not as many anglers, but bait everywhere.  nothing going on.
all i can say is that i agree paul, we need the wind to shift out of the east and some cold weather to stay for a little while.
