thats a nice red.  where was that taken?  i see it says that it was on saturday, and that your from delaware.  was that where it was caught, or were you up here in the dirty jersey

Hey all,The red was caught saterday night @10:30 on a spot head, it was caught on Assateague Island, MD.
No fish to big or to small,anytime anywhere!You bring the bait I'll bring the Coffee.

I bet that is a great place to surf fish!!  It says red drum range from the Gulf through the Atlantic Ocean up the eastern seaboard to Massachusetts, but I have never heard of any caught here in NJ!

Yeah, every once in a while you hear of one being caught usually down around Cape May for the most part.  I remember last year I heard of a couple being caught off LBI as well.

They are rare off the surf, the closest thing in that family would be the Croaker, and even they were almost non existent this year.

Yeah...wonder why we don't see them up here??  There must be a reason?  Water temp??  It is weird we didn't have any croakers in the surf yet or at all...there were a lot in the bay this summer!
