Having Hydrolic Sterring difficulty on outboard.Its starting to feel sticky and slugish and resident. Any ideas on repairs or what to look at first?? Any body remember if there was a thread and where I can find some answers.Thanks for the feed back.

Thanks for the site thread Joe,Irish Ayes. I bookmarked it so I can now go back and refer to it when I attempt to make the BLEED.
Rod, I hope to get to the boat soon to see what I can or can not do with this Bleed thing.         I will post.        Thanks Guys.

I have the SeaStar1 by Teleflex and it needs new seals. It's a single cylinder with the rod extending thru both ends. But for now when it gets "loose" I add fluid at the helm fill, then turn the wheel back and forth a few times; it works itself out. Only talking a few oz low, it starts to feel mushy. Don't know if yours is similar, I read about bleeding it like brakes on a car, but have not had go that route yet. Will look into new seals over the winter.

WB, Thanks for the info. I'm heading there in a while to see what type of unit mounted.
Then I plan on checking some sites and the NJSWS thread for repair procedures. AJ.

 Added the fluid from the guart container and Pronto problem subsides. Will most likely bleed when time permits before hual out. Thanks Guys.
