Originally had a three man charter today, but last night they cancelled. So why waste a good day.
Called up my good Pal Reel Ron and said hey lets go fishing, was greated with who is this? Ron its me Bob, ya want to go fishing......a resounding yes.
Left the dock at 0700 on the last of the incoming, got to the grounds and she was blowing a tad, reading great marks, fish were stacked. One drift, two drifts, three drifts nodda.
Ron then boated a nice 19" Fluke, changed locations a couple of times still reading fish but no but, continued through the slack. Once the tide started outgoing we began picking fish.
Not a hot bite but a fish or two on each drift, all keepers, largest 20".
Ron was once fish away from the inshore grand slam He had a fLuke, a Blue and Weak Fish, near the end of out trip he hooked into a nice fish, rod bent over, fish popped off 1/2 way up straightened the hook.
All in all a good day fishing with a good friend. Will be back at it tomorrow.
