With being disgusted with the weather of late, we didnt sail on our open boat trip tues or thur.
Only one thing to do, some out of state Mongering. Got a call from a friend jered in ny.
Got up there with bruce the mate and picked up my fresh brown eggs.
Headed to my favorite estuaries with bruce and meet jared with 120 fresh tied egg sacs. Water was very low in all the creeks but the last rain had the domestic Rainbows staging in the Estuaries. Only Salmon up the creeks.
Lock and load with rainbows from 3-8lbs. We caught are at least 40 each day.
They got some fresh rain/snow/ice while we were there and that brought some browns in I landed a 12 browns total. Jared landed a nice one, bruce got a few.My 2 best browns for the trip was 11 1/2 lbs and 9lbs.
Bruce also played with salmon in the night zone which was loaded, because he never landed one. Now hes landed a few . I was busy tieing egg sacs.
All rainbows were released kept 2 big browns to be smoked and released the rest of them and the salmon. All fish were caught with 6lb mono and 6lb flouro with xpoint hooks under a bobber. And ya had to have fresh tied brown eggs for bait...
Now back to reality with this beautiful weekend forecast
