Outer Banks North Carolina Red Drum Tournament
« on: November 01, 2008, 01:19:28 PM »
Just fished the Frank and Frans Red Drum Tournament last of October 23, 24 and 25th.  There were 154 drum caught and all released with to date no loss of life.  I myself caught one puppy drum 23 and a half inches, didn't win anything but it was nice to get on the board.  The weather blew north east for the tournament and it was rough fishing with eight and more ounces not holding the bottom that well.  A 49" drum was the over all winner.  Have been fishing this tournament for the past four years and it is a great time.... another one coming up next weekend and will give you a report on that one....  salt

Sounds like a lot of fun!  Nice catch, too!  Good Luck nest weekend.  I have never caught drum, but it looks like fun from the surf.

Enjoy and thanks for the report.

Nice job. As you said, you did make the weigh in board.  t^
