Got aut around 1 pm Saturday, started by jigging off of the spring Lake- Belmar border and had several large blues to 10 lbs. worked progressively farther north to about asbury park, hooking up on more occasional big blues but nothing with stripes. On the way back down to the inlet, ran into an all-out blitz of 3 to seven-poud bluefish absolutely killing the spearing off of Avon. AVA 17's did the trick. Finished the day around the inlet/ Point Pleasant area around sunset, hooked one fish that felt really nice but he threw the diamong jig . Good day despite the lack of stripers.
