Way to go! I'd agree that bass is probably 6 or 7 lbs. Next time you catch a big bass, and you don't have a scale, try measuring the length and girth. If you don't have a tape measure, you can use a length of line until you can find one. Then use the formula below. It's surprisingly accurate (to within 1/2 lb).
