I'm pretty sure that's the same rod Capt. Joe busted a couple weeks ago, tog fishing.  :P

There's a bunch of good rods out there that will match up to that reel.  You'll find a lot of opinions here as well.  IMO, that reel seems a bit large for the rod you mentioned.  Why not bring it with you and try it out on some different rods before you settle on that one?  There are a bunch of fishing expos heading our way soon. t^

Bucktail is right. That is the rod I broke. The operative words here are "I broke". I did something stupid and broke the rod. It was absolutely my fault. Any rod would have suffered the same consequences. I liked the rod am getting another to replace it.

I am not familiar with the size of the reel that you have so I can't recommend any rod for of this reason. But do not hesitate to get the Lami because mine broke.  t^

Nice reel.  I would do what Bucktail recommends.. give her a dry run on a rod..  then purchase it online t^

And Welcome to the site Mario.  Nice to have you aboard t^

I figured it might be to big & heavy for the rod... anyways sounds like a plan, in going to show and match it up... thanks guys....

My brother told about a custom rod builder. The company is called jawbreaker. Unfortunately there is no website for them....any of you guys heard of them ...

Again thanks for the help... Im probably gonna wait and go to the somerset saltwater show in March.  Im in no rush.. got enough saltwater tackle to supply a small army.

Yea I did bud... but it really doesn't tell you much about them. It just shows you a couple of different rods.  Anyways I emailed them..I'll let you know how it turns out.
 Thanks again
