Restuarants LBI area
« on: December 29, 2008, 07:59:23 AM »
Can anyone recommend a place to eat, seafood or steak, that's open New Year's Day either on or near LBI?  I know there are a few on the causeway, rt. 72 as you approach the island.

Luna Sea 3,

Just checked the menu out.  Looks interesting.  Not sure if my 15 year old would like it.  I know my wife and I would enjoy it.  I like just about everything on the menu.

Have you been there?  What about $$$?  Is it expensive, moderately expensive or average?

The food is outstanding.  My cousins name is Jodi, she married a chef.  They both own it, so the Chef is the owner, so the full reputation of the place is on the Chef himself.  The prices are slightly above average, to be honest with you, but like most things, you get what you pay for.  I go once a year.. Order there Prime Rib..

I don't beleive the Marlin is still open now.  Tuckers will be open and so will Buckalews. Both are in Beach Haven.  The Bayberry Inn is in Ship Bottom.  MAke a right once you are at the end of the causeway.  Bayberry is a nice place.   The Engleside might be open, but it is expensive.  Daddy O's should be open, that is in Brant Beach.  The Plantation is in Harvey Cedars and might be open.  Too bad the Dutchman is closed until spring.  That would be the place to go.  They closed for the season in early December.  Great food.  That is on the outgoing causeway in Cedar Bonnet island.

I've spent my entire life going to Long Beach Island.  If you need any help or need suggestions, ask away.  I'll help you.  Just send me a message.

Be good!
