I was instructed to report to work this morning and did not even get past County Line Road before I was stopped by the Jackson Police.   When I told him where I was going and why he said, "Are you kidding me?!"  He made it clear that I was not going anywhere and that I needed to turn back immediately.  He said they were issuing summonses.

Long story short, stay where you are and wait until the State of Emergency is over.

I just hooked my phone to the tv. They say rides are in the ocean, houses floating in seaside heights . Train cars on the turnpike due to the surge. Major damage to Nj transit train tracks.
Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Just got back from my marina. My boat is fine, was left in the water. Boats that were pulled floated off the blocks and are in the condo yards and on the road. Separate post put up with pics. http://njsaltwaterfisherman.com/forums/index.php?topic=29712.0

Hope everyone is ok!  I also hope no one has any major losses of property.  Still no power, but no major damage here at all...we were very lucky!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all down there..what a mess  nosmly If anyone needs help with anything in the coming days, I have a pickup and a strong back at your disposal..  grtn  We really dodged it up here as it passed just to our west..It gusted for a while but never got bad, nor did we lose power...I got a call early this am from my broker John.. I can't thank him and guys at manasquan river club enough for their help  getting Fluka out and cared for.. he said a couple hundred boats including his, floated off their stands.. thankfully,  ours wasn't one of them.. my heart goes out to all those who where not so lucky.. please continue to be safe in the aftermath of this thing.. and again, I stand ready to provide assistance to anyone in need.

Wow! I haven't seen a tv since 8pm last night. I'm glad everyone seems ok. If I can help let me know. We're safe here but still without power.
