It is going to be a tough weekend, yet just another typical summer weekend here in NJ. Between the heat, humidity, scattered showers and thunderstorms and cautious conditions offshore, there are a lot of weather factors take into consideration this weekend. Heat Advisories, Heat Watches and Heat Warnings will continue through the weekend. Even along the immediate coast will see heat indices into the 100’s.
A cold front will move through the region late Saturday Night into Sunday morning. It will eventually push far enough south early next week which will be hopefully bring some much needed relief from the excessive heat. The Storm Prediction Center has already issued a Slight Risk for Severe Weather for both Saturday and Sunday. The main threats Saturday will be damaging winds and hail and on Sunday damaging winds.
