Title: My new rod for the arsenal
Post by: SHARKBITE on June 05, 2013, 06:43:35 PM
A huge thank you to Mark AKA Treebeard for the awesome custom rod he just made for me. Mark worked with me on the design and components to build a rod that will be used for multiple species. Borrowing the concept from the banquet rod he created, this is definitely a one of a kind rod.

Phil,  the blank Mike picked was a Calstar BTG196-7 ..1st Calstar I've worked.. pretty cool blank....very fast taper..#6 tip, and a crowbar down low.. should be real versatile..  chrz

I was so excited about getting it I didn't take the time to post a picture while I was ordering another AVET reel to pair it with.  5hrug ;D Picked up a SXJ 5.3 in gold which goes great with the color schemes Mark used to wrap with. Really like the spiral wrap and can't wait to use it this coming week! Again, thanks for the awesome work Mark. Bucktails will be painted this coming week! TT^ t^

Forgive me here, not understanding your question? The rod was built by a site member and I was sharing the end result...

I think he is referring to the first set of photos that Mark posted; he's got a bunch of reels on the table in them.  ;D
