My new rod for the arsenal
« on: June 05, 2013, 06:43:35 PM »
A huge thank you to Mark AKA Treebeard for the awesome custom rod he just made for me. Mark worked with me on the design and components to build a rod that will be used for multiple species. Borrowing the concept from the banquet rod he created, this is definitely a one of a kind rod.

Wow thats beautiful, so light you can barely notice its there
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Phil,  the blank Mike picked was a Calstar BTG196-7 ..1st Calstar I've worked.. pretty cool blank....very fast taper..#6 tip, and a crowbar down low.. should be real versatile..  chrz

Nice rod you have there Sharkie. Great work Mark. Looks like you arranged your workbench with an egg beater, looks just like my computer desk and garage.  TT^

BTW, I'll be putting in my winter order for a rod.  slt
