Post by: salty pig on December 06, 2007, 12:46:40 PM
Ok who knows a traveling Johnson motor  guy???  I had them  do my winterization since my ass was in  grand jury all week!.. Well they drained the lower end unit oil and said it was milky! that means water!!!!
Now i do remember hittin something towards end of season but it ran fine !! How much  could i be looking at and  what could be wrong?

Anyone know a mechanic ?  bngh bngh

Hey Salty If you get the "Fisherman" Mag weekly they just did an article on winterzation. It was in the book fom the week of Nov. 22, there is Milky and then there is a Yellowish color. which mine always is when I drain it. (I have a 200hp ocean pro) The Yellowish color is due to Lubricant agitation and /or aeration. Now I'm sure your going to be more confused then helped. 5hrug

Yep...But the fact that I know my daughter gets on every once in a while and even though she will be 18 in January I guess the father thing comes to play; with that said I still need a kick in the a$$ once in a while as a reminder that there are kids that frequent this site.

Thanks for being our checks and balance FF. TT^

If whoever named Johnson that invented the brand could see how boating forums far and wide have had so many laughs.  t^

Personally, my favorite topics are issues with water impellers on Johnsons where "pee holes" are referenced.   rofla

Read in the Fisherman boating issue that the Johnson brand is being discontinued for now in favor of the Evinrude name; reserving the right to bring it back later.  Guess they've been reading this board.  rofla rofla

Yeah, BRP is going E-Tec or bust.  That's a lot of eggs in one basket.  Surprised they're not offering 2 stroke DFI E-Tecs under Evinrude and 4-strokes under Johnson or something like that.  Personally, I'll hate to see the Johnson brand go to the wayside.  Hopefully they will bring it back at some point, or someone else will buy it and get something going with it.
