A good week for weather, with some summer-like temperatures and humidity, but a rough first half of the week for water conditions. Monday and Tuesday will have more clouds than sun with fog in the evenings and mornings. Chances of showers and/or thunderstorms are possible on Monday, Monday Night and Tuesday Day before clearing up on Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Day will be clear with more sun than clouds before chances of showers move in for Friday Night. Highs for Monday and Tuesday will be in the 70’s and 80’s, with upper 80’s on Tuesday and higher humidities, making it feel warmer and stickier than to date. Monday and Tuesday will also see overnight lows only in the 50’s and 60’s. By Wednesday highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with overnight lows in the 40’s and 50’s again. Tuesday will be the warmest day and Thursday the coolest. Fog will continue through Tuesday. Water conditions will be cautious for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, borderline to good on Thursday, and good on Friday. Monday and Tuesday will be mainly due to dense fog becoming patchy before clearing in the mornings and evenings. Visibilities will be limited to less than 1 nm at times, however in between fog conditions will be borderline with winds pushing the 20-25 knots at times in some locations. Wednesday will be cautious due to gustier winds and high seas from the tropical system moving out to sea. Thursday will be good to borderline, as seas recover from the system moving away and by Friday all waters should be back to normal and good. Surf conditions will echo water conditions with fog in the mornings and evenings on Monday and Tuesday. Surf could be rough and higher at times anywhere to 3-5 feet or so, through Wednesday. Conditions will be cautious with fog, but overall ok to good. Keep in mind rougher surf with rip currents are possible. Thursday and Friday will have some leftover 2-4 foot wave heights becoming 1-3 feet with good surf conditions. Water temperatures are steadily increasing in the 50’s and 60’s now. Inshore waters have jumped up to the upper 50’s to mid 60’s in some places. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 4-9/15.

High pressure located over the Western Atlantic will gradually lose its influence over the area on Sunday Night and Monday. The remnants of Ana will track off the coast on Monday Night into Tuesday. A cold front will approach from the Northwest on Tuesday and move through the area Tuesday Evening. Canadian High pressure then builds into the region for the end of the week. The center of the high will shift offshore for the weekend.
Tropical Storm Ana made landfall on the Carolinas over the weekend after transitioning from a subtropical system to a tropical system and has been downgraded to a tropical depression. The tropical depression will pass off the coast Monday Night into Tuesday morning and will leave some gustier winds and high seas through Wednesday. Water conditions will be the only effects and these will be minor, except for midshore to offshore, which could see some high seas to 12 feet or so. Otherwise, a stray band of rain/thunderstorms is possible, but nothing that will be noticeable and identifiable as a tropical weather system.

Next weekend will have chances of showers on Saturday clearing out for Saturday Night and Sunday. Highs will be in the lower 70’s with overnight lows in the 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look to start off good on Saturday, then winds could increase to borderline or cautious conditions in the afternoon and then back to borderline to good for Sunday.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
