A chance of showers and thunderstorms to start and end the week with the return of warmer temperatures with water conditions that echo the cautious start to the week. Monday and Tuesday will have chance of rain, showers and thunderstorms with the bulk of storms coming on Monday Night. During the day on Monday and Tuesday, storms will be more scattered to widely scattered. Monday Night will have more widespread and organized activity. Both days could see strong to severe storms capable of heavy, flooding rains, dangerous lightning, damaging winds, even hail and tornadoes. Daily updates will follow for these threats. By Wednesday and for Thursday, conditions should be dry. Friday Day could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms again, carrying over into the weekend. Warmer and moist air returns for the week with highs in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows back into the 60’s with maybe some upper 50’s across northern areas. Humidity will be moderate to high. Water conditions will be cautious on Monday and Tuesday with gusty winds and high seas. Some back bays and rivers will be good for Tuesday and the Raritan will be borderline on Tuesday, otherwise, winds could reach 25 knots and seas to 5+ feet. By Wednesday conditions will improve for all locations except midshore to offshore. Thursday could see good to borderline conditions for seas and even some wind and Friday will see an improvement in conditions, again. Midshore to offshore will be cautious to borderline all week. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to good, minus some gusty winds on Monday and Tuesday. Surf could be rougher and higher around 3-5 feet at times with Moderate Risks of Rip Currents. Otherwise, with a mostly predominant westerly wind, it should keep the surf in check compared to seas. Water temperatures are steady in the 50’s to 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 4-8/15.

High pressure will move offshore through Monday.  A cold front will move through the region on Tuesday. A high pressure system will move across to the south of the area on Wednesday through Thursday.  A weak cold front will approach the area on Friday and slowly push southward through the area into Sunday. High pressure returns for the start of next week.

Saturday and Sunday will have chances of showers and thunderstorms again due to higher temperatures and higher humidity. Currently, these looked to be scattered chances both days. Highs will continue in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be good to start Saturday, however they look to deteriorate throughout the day becoming borderline by later in the day and then cautious on Sunday with winds over 20 knots and seas up over 4 feet again.

Atlantic Tropics are uneventful.

Have a great week and thanks for reading!

 t^ As always thanks
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

There is a chance of thunderstorms, some strong to severe across western and northern parts of the state capable of heavy rains, dangerous lightning, damaging winds and hail this evening into tonight.

There is also a chance of severe weather on Thursday, now also, as temperatures will soar into the 90's with high humidity.
