The week will be mixed and slightly unsettled with even more unsettled water conditions. The week will start off dry for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Day. Shower chances will move in on Wednesday Night and remain through Thursday Night, before clearing again for late Thursday Night and Friday. Showers could bring up to 1.5 inches of rain with some locally higher amounts. Showers will start as scattered on Wednesday Night becoming widely scattered to more widespread on Thursday and then again scattered for Thursday Night. Highs will range from the 50’s to the mid 60’s with overnight lows in the 30’s to 50’s. The cooler temperatures will be seen across northern areas and milder temperatures at the shore, as still warmer ocean waters influence them. Midweek could also see some higher humidity, as a warm front lifts northward. Water conditions will be mostly cautious for ocean waters for the week. Rivers and bays will have a mix of good to cautious. Monday will be a mixed day ranging from good in the back to borderline to cautious on the ocean. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will have cautious to hazardous conditions. Winds will gust 20-30 knots with seas building to 10 feet inshore and 15 feet midshore to offshore by Thursday. Winds will settle for Friday, but seas could push 8 feet on Friday slowly subsiding throughout the day, still making conditions cautious for seas. Small Craft Advisories will likely continue most of the week! Surf and beach conditions will be good to start the week, with winds and wave heights increasing for Tuesday and Wednesday, peaking for Thursday at 5-8 feet or so and then beginning to settle for Friday. Tuesday and Wednesday will be ok to cautious, Thursday cautious to hazardous and then cautious to ok for Friday. Water temperatures have cooled by a few degrees or so, with many waters ranging from the low 50’s to low 60’s now. UV Index will be Low to Moderate at 0-3/15.
High pressure will remain centered to the Southwest into Monday, before a weak cold front edges southward through the region Monday Night into early Tuesday. This boundary will then lift north as a warm front on Wednesday. Strengthening low pressure will also be tracking northeast from the Upper Midwest into Canada on Wednesday, with its associated cold front crossing the region on Thursday. High pressure will follow for Friday and into the start of the weekend.
The weekend looks dry right now, but it is not 100%, as high pressure may move at some point during the weekend. However, as it is right now, the weekend will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50’s with overnight lows in the 30’s to 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be good on Saturday and good to borderline on Sunday.
The Atlantic Tropics are quiet.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
