A settled week for weather, but more unsettled for water conditions. The week looks dry with more sun than clouds. Highs will start off in the 70’s and lower 80’s, midweek climb into the 80’s and low 90’s, then drop back down into the 70’s for the end of the week. Overnight lows will range from the 50’s to 60’s. Humidity will be low to moderate. There will definitely be a splash of Fall temperatures overnight. Water conditions will not be as lucky. There will be a mix of good to cautious conditions. However these conditions will only have winds to 20 knots, but seas could push more than 5 feet at times. Surf and beach conditions will be good to cautious at times, with surf heights to 4 feet or more and Rip Current Risks at Low to even High Risks. Water temperatures are steady in the 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to High at 5-7/15.
A cold front will continue to move off the mid-Atlantic this afternoon. High pressure will build in from the Midwest tonight and settle overhead Monday. The center of the high will progress offshore Tuesday into Wednesday. The next cold front approaching
from the northwest is expected to move through the area Wednesday night. High pressure builds back into the area Thursday and Friday before moving offshore next weekend. Another cold front may move into the area later in the weekend.
The weekend looks dry for Saturday and showers and thunderstorms for Sunday. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline.
There are two invest areas in the Atlantic. One looks to stay well out to sea and the other could affect Florida and the East Coast. This one needs to be watched, but right now there is very little development forecast.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!
