Sewaren to RBay report 7/1
« on: July 02, 2008, 10:25:28 AM »
Only a few regulars showed up this AM, but the Capt took off for the 7 to 3 PM trip anyway...I think Capt John wanted to fish today.

Fished mostly the outgoing with good drifting conditions all day....first drift was at the triangle, picked up a keeper and lots of last year keepers.

Made our way to the 14 buoy of the reach....little wind but nice current sending us down the channel....very little boat traffic....worked that drift most of the day towards the ammo pier with non stop action....mostly shorts, but total for the day was 6 keepers for 5 fisherman.

Seems that the keepers are doing a bit better as the bay waters continue to rise.

Back in the dock at 3:15....Seawaren Creek was loaded with small peanut bunkers.

Good report, sounds like a nice day on the water.

Hopefully the keep ratio will rise as the water warms, but it's pretty tough with the 18 inch size limit.

Nice report. The quality of fluke should be going up with the warmer water temps.  t^
