Tartar sauce recipe
« on: July 23, 2008, 03:28:17 PM »
This recipe makes tartar sauce much much
better than the bottled stuff.
After you try it once, you can modify it
how you like (I put capers in almost everything!).

1 cup mayonnaise (use the real stuff)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon finely chopped shallot(or scallion)
1 tablespoon sweet relish
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon whole-grain or coarse-grain mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Pulse all sauce ingredients in a blender until parsley is finely chopped.

Got to try this...made some simple stuff yesterday...the mustard sounds like it adds a bit to recipe.
