IBSP Fishing Report - Oct. 11 09
« on: October 12, 2009, 08:23:43 AM »
Got out to the park for a couple hours with the wife and dog yesterday afternoon.  Nice sunny beach day.
Got the end of the incoming tide into outgoing.  Water was a little cloudy.  Wind light and variable out of the west.
We stopped for clams and the best we could do after multiple stops was a pint of fresh shucked clams and bag of mullet.  The lack of bait at the shops was a good indicator of what was to come.....the beach looked like the mall parking lot in December.
Soaked the clams and mullet on FF rigs and Hi-Los.
Tally for the day was 1 strong willed skate and 1 feisty 9in fluke, both on clam.
Also threw an AVA 007 / teaser combo.  Had a few lite hits on that with no hookups.
Didn't see anyone else doing anything, although the report from the shops this morning says otherwise.

I wouldn't necessarily believe the B&T reports, except B&Ns actually shows videos of the weigh-ins. It was maybe 4 or 5 fish in a whole day over 30 miles of sand, but it's something.

That would be great Chris.  He will be at the house by 5:30 even though sunrise is 7:06.  That's okay, I will have plenty of coffee ready.  It should be a nive long incoming tide this time.  Hope we have some white water this time, the stripers should be more active.
