I've never fished with the Cabo, but we sell them. They're much heavier than a similar size Stradic and not as smooth IMO. I don't know what size reel you are looking to get, but I weighed one each of similar body size for comparison today. (Work is slow after Christmas).
The Stradic 4000 FI which lists a capacity of 200 yards of 10 lb. test weighed 11.9 oz. The Cabo PTS 30 which is listed as holding 120 yds of 10 lb. test weighed in at 14.7 oz. Almost three full ounces heavier than the Stradic! That is a big difference, especially since the Stradic holds almost double the line.
As far as quality. The Quantums have come a long way since they first started making them. However, the word that I get back on them (Quantums in general, not necessarily the Cabo) is that although they are very smooth right out of the box, they tend to get a bit of a "sloppy" feel in a relatively short amount of time. Again, this is only from the general feedback I get on them. I have never fished a Quantum reel other than picking up a friend's, so others may have had a better, more positive "hands on" experience with them.
That being said, I would still wait to see that Saragossa before I did anything!
Hope that helps a bit!
