Reel Class Flounder 4/21
« on: April 22, 2008, 06:54:24 AM »
Had Mike Byrne Sr. and Jr., Andrew D and his buddy Cesar aboard for a flounder trip.

Overcast skies, a howling ENE wind made things tough from the get go. Had some bites early on at the change of tide W of 35, landed a few. It seemed like it took forever for the outgoing to get going, and coupled up against the cranking wind we had a tough time setting up. Wound up with just 1 more fish, a ton of shmegma, and some incredibly cold hands.

Made a total of 7 drops, picked 4 flounder all keepers. Very tough, miserable day, guys fished hard, we tried everything, it just wasn't working today. Back at it on Wednesday, will of course post a report then.

outside of 3 days last week, this hasn't been the best spring for fishing(weather wise) ...

Hopefully that changes so the fishing can kick into high gear.

Similar reports all around on the flounder.  Wonder where they went this year?
