Thanks for the info Diesel.

Catfish, everyone I know who uses the Alive complains about the same thing.  They make round plastic storage containers like tupperware or ziplock that have screw on lids.  These work great and are fairly cheap.  You can pick them up at Walmart for a couple of bucks.

Yea, I know!
I found a container in Walmart that locks on all four sides with a rubber gasket on the top. It came as a set. You can throw them around and the top stays on. Sorry I don’t know the name of it but I have seen them in a lot of Walmarts. It is clear and has a blue gasket on the lids.

Thanks DHP and Eng5Lt for that info! t^  I ran over to Walmart on a break from work and picked up the three pack today!

I've been looking for a truly leak proof container for my Gulp! Alive! for almost two years now.  I had a container leak inside my tackle bag and onto the carpet of my trunk back in 2007!  BTW, I emailed Berkley and told them about it, and they sent me a free pint to replace the one that spilled.

So, it's been a while.  And you know, just from hearing everyone's comments, that I can't be the only person to complain about the container.  Apparently Berkley's not planning to change anything, so I guess we're forced to look for alternatives.

I have tried two other products which claimed to be leak proof and neither were.  They were the Zip Loc Twist 'n Loc and the Rubbermaid Twist & Seal containers.  Don't waste your money on them!

I was beginning to think that this Gulp! Alive! juice was kind of like "The Blob" and nothing could hold it! ;D

Hopefully these Lock & Locks will work! TT^

Lock and Lock containers are worth it-my wife uses them for everything in the kitchen, and I steal what I can for my uses.....

I've never had one leak-even after extended microwave and dishwasher use-hell I've had to press on warped lids and they still didn't leak!!

The new Gulp alive containers are much wider at the bottom. Do they leak too?

It's not the containers themselves that leak.  They leak where the cap screws on to it.  There is no gasket or anything there, just plastic on plastic. nosmly

Gulp Alive must have received many complaints on the containers. Why haven't they improved the design? :-\

Because they can sell more.  5hrug Guys are apparently still buying them as quick as they can get them in the stores.

That and they're probably looking to stay at their $20 and $36 retail price points.  Adding a gasket would cut into their profits. ::)

They are not consumer friendly if we have to purchase after market containers to replace the original containers that WE PAID FOR.
I still like the bait. I do keep all my containers in an after market product. Before you know it some other manufacturer will come out with a better bait and container.

I bet you could make yourself a few dollars marketing a container, or better yet, a lid that fits on the Gulp! Alive! containers that is truly leak proof.   t^

I can see them hanging on a clipstrip right next to the Gulp! Alive! in every sporting goods store and B&T in America!   ;D

I've never used the Gulp Alive.  Is it really that much better then the Gulp in the packets that's it's worth the extra cash and mess?

Who knows?  They've spent a ton of money convincing us it's better.  And I know I fell for it! ;D

What I also like about the Alive is that, floating in the juice, the baits don't get all bent out of shape like they do in the bags sometimes.  One thing is for sure.  Whether you use the bag or the containers, Gulp works! t^
