fuel flow meter

i decided to put a fuel flow meter in. can any one suggest what one is good to go with i have a Johnson 150 o/b carbureted thanks

Try doing a search on this sight. The names Floscan and Lowrance come to mind. I know Fishing Fool and Mboy installed one last season.

Look for this title in this forum some info there.  Need help with installing a new gas gauge.....

not sure if I would want to know how much gas the boat is using.

It is an eye opener. I run my Yammie at 4500 RPMs and get about a 13 gallon an hour fuel burn. It gets me about 22-25 MPH depending on conditions, etc. Bump the throttle to 5000 and the gallon per hour really rises. The speed does not go up in proportion to the RPMs. With that I know the sweet spot on my throttle for best fuel efficienty.  t^
