my new fluke rig
« on: February 17, 2009, 08:43:29 PM »
I found the 3oz bodies at cabelas yesterday and thought they would be awesome to try for fluke.  I attached a teaser that I made and bam, easy rig to make and easy to change teasers with the swivel.

the only thing I may change, but too hard to tell by the pic, is shorten the distance from the hook to the jig.

Maybe not, I have seen some old rigs like that and the distance is about the same and they worked well back then.

The bodies come in a 1/2oz up to 3oz, they have the chain/swivel attached already.  I used a 4/0 octopus hook.

Just gotta see how it acts when you have a fluke hooked on.  Could cause it to spit the hook easier or maybe not.

Similar to how we tie on a stinger hook to a bucktail or replace the hook on a chromeball jig, so should work well for you chrz

Similar to a jig that I use made by Tidal Tails....they have a new setup with a stinger hook this year.
