LATEST NEWS: Fishing crew comes to aid of disabled boat From Press staff reportsPublished: Saturday, March 14, 2009CAPE MAY 9:30 p.m. Update - A fishing company from Ocean City came to the rescue of a pleasure boat that became disabled Friday afternoon about 60 nautical miles off the coast, the coast Guard said. The Coast Guard, which did not respond, received a call at 2:57 p.m. Friday that a 22-foot pleasure boat had become disabled, said Petty Officer Jason Szczurowski of the Delaware Bay sector in Philadelphia. The North Star Express, a fishing vessel based in Ocean City, volunteered to go to the boat and rescue the passengers and bring them to shore, Szczurowski said. The disabled boat was left anchored at sea until repairs could be made.
