Welcome grtn!  Did a drive by at the Manasquan Inlet yesterday and there wasn't a person fishing.  It is a little to early in there for fish, unless you concentrate around the bend, past the building in the Memorial Park.  People fish back there for flounder when the season opens.  You might be able to get small sea bass too off the wall.  If you are planning on making a trip, I would concentrate farther up into the rivers and bays

Good Luck!

Welcome aboard.  We have a friendly and knowledgable bunch of folks here that are always will to share.  Make yourself at home.

The inlet is a popular place for fluke come summertime.  Just be prepared to sacrifice some line and rigs.  There's a lot to get snagged on in the bottom.
Like PMan said, target a little further inland till the water temps come up a bit.

Welcome to the site.  You will soon find out this this is not only the best fishing site in New Jersey, hands down.......  But you will find the folks on here to be the most friendly  and nobody will attack you verbally here.  That is the difference between this site and others in New Jersey.

Plus there is a lot of knowledge here.  Just ask away and somebody will help you or point you in the right direction.

Personally I spend a lot of time on Long Beach Island.  Know it well.

Have fun and welcome again.

Hey slayer i fish the manasquan side of the inlet as well as the squan beach regularly in the warmer months, though i haven't done any fishing lately.  I think the majority of what's out there now is in the warmer partsof the bays, especially around sod banks etc.  Winter flounder should be hitting failry soon off of the wall.
