TRENTON BOAT RAMP
« on: March 22, 2009, 11:06:18 AM »
I have heard they poated signs at the boat ramp in Trento (aka Duck Island) that there are ramp fees this year..

77-7. Use of the Trenton boat ramp and boat ramp parking.
[Added 4-3-2008 by Ord. No. 08-14 Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former ยง 77-7, Locker rental fee. ]

No one shall be authorized to use the boat ramp or designated trailer-parking-only area without applying for and obtaining a permit from the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources and Culture. Applicants for a permit must provide proof of a valid registration for the boat and trailer, if applicable. If a trailer is to be used, a permit decal shall be assigned and affixed to both the boat and the trailer. If a trailer will not be used, then the permit decal will be assigned and affixed only to the boat. The issuance or denial of a permit shall be at the City's sole discretion.

B. Date and time of permit. Permits shall entitle the holder to use the boat ramp and designated trailer parking area and shall be issued for the period of April 1 through November 30. The ramp and parking area shall be closed to all boats and vehicles between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

I haven't been able to locate anything on NJ fish and game website but that is not the most up to date web site. Not that I would mind paying but a think they are just a little unreasonable..... nts

Probably will not be on NJ site as the ramp and land surrounding it is the property of The City Of Trenton.

The County of Mercer was going to take over the ramp several years ago but for whatever reason did not.

If there is a ramp fee I bet services there will be much much better.  Docks in by April 1, more police patrols, garbage pickups etc.

That and I beleive the tooth fairy will be bringing the 34 ft parker any day now!

Another open your wallet policy here in New Jersey. I'm sure the $50 annual fee is cheaper than paying the fine if you get a summons for not having one.  nosmly   <'((((><

That should be for a permit to carry a concealed weapon!  Nowadays you certainly need it when you go through Trenton!

You may be able to launch your boat there, but there's no guarantee your vehicle will still be there!
