Good Friday boat limit of tog

Sailed on Big John's annual Good Friday tog trip on the Mary M.

Only had 8 of us onboard and Scotty filled in for Theresa who couldn't make the trip. he did catch some nice fish and believe he was the first to have his limit.

Day started out slow, but ended with a bang.  A few fish were caught through out the day with most falling for clams.  I had the first fish on the boat, a short tog, caught on greenies.  Was the kiss of death for me. rgmn

Saw others catching a few fish on clams so I switched to that bait...of course the first fish I catch is a dogfish :P
Moved over by a few guys that seemed to have some action and then the bite just died.  Did that twice 5hrug

Last drop did produce some real good action on greenies with most being nice fish up to Big John's pool winning 10lb+ fish.
Everyone left with their 4 fish limit and mine were cooked up later that evening. Figure you really can't get more fresh fish than that ;D

Great crew, lots of laughs and fun.  Capt Sam worked hard and eventually put us over the promised land.   TT^

hmmm black fish, doesn't get better than that.
I went on 4 trips last year and only caught 2 togs.  They are so hard to land.

Glad you guys were able to get the limit.
When does black fishing end.  I would like to get out there before its too late.

It's fitting because i work on my arse all day banging at the keyboard.  Doing server and pc configurations, so at times I feel like the avatar.  I would act it out but then I can't go fishing.
