Raritan Bay 4/24
« on: April 24, 2009, 08:46:44 PM »
got an early start, had Dave and Hon on board, trying to clam up the striped ones, hit the Reach and fishing before 7,never got into anything, made a few moves and thru the tide change, nothing doing,if it wasn't for a few skates and one lone spider crab,no action at all,got the Pepe Le Pew today.still nice to get out, even though a nice day still a little cool on the water,we'll get em next time.    Kez

I think it's your method of fishing,I'm strictly a bait fisherman,I think the ones with more success today that have posted were trolling, where you can cover a broader area,I search and pick my spots and live or die with them. 5hrug   Kez

i usually do the same.  I am not a fan of trolling, but will do so if the bite is slow.

pick your spot and chum heavy ,which we did, have to hang and wait,we did and never really got a bite, some hit em some don't,you look like a hero if you do,will try again, maybe Sunday early or wait till monday,I'm sure the boat traffic will be heavy tomorrow and Sunday, hate dealing with that, good luck on your try tomorow t^  Kez
