Saturday Am trip 5/9.
« on: May 09, 2009, 06:16:02 PM »
Met Ed C.and Patty D. for an early(foggy) trip to the fishing grounds, our first stop marked some fish but chum did not produce any takers.
Second stop, further West, did produce two shorts in 30 minutes and as I was about to pull up and move Ed has a run off and 32" keeper in the box.Stayed a lil longer(hoping this was going to be the start) and moved to third spot further S/West and another keeper at 31" Had a troller see the action off the Stern. He came too damn close,I tried to be nice about it,but yelled to him "if you need the fish that bad I'll give you whats in the cooler.I think he undersdtood.   rgmn
In by 11:45, and cutting the lawn(and having a cigar) by 2:ooPM. Going out with The Bride this evening.  >:D     Good luck out there. AJ.

Thanks Men,
SALTY DOG: The troller knew he was too close.Years ago, would have sailed a 5oz.at the boat. This time I used reversed psychology.  TT^
KPCOE, 50% of the time NOAA is 50% wrong, maybe they are fisherman and want the place to themself.   ;D
PFISHGGRV: The lawn was so high I went over it and then went back and forth to get the clumps.
HUNTER ED. it is  nice to be out.
IRISH AYES Joe and LUNA SEA:Worked for them today.DIESEL RICK, Full day and Night:slept good.
Good Luck Men, talk to you out there.AJ.

Nice going........a good day......hey sometimes close trolling pays off. I've picked up two bunker sponns that were fouled in my anchor line.

Had one guy who did up pull up next to me and demand I pull up my anchor so he could get his spoon.

Needless to say after a colorful exchange of verbage he went away and I got the spoon TT^

nice going AJ t^,also a good response to the troller, had that a couple times this year already,if there close off the bow when anchored,I don't say anything, just waiting for them to get my anchor line then the rig is mine, unless they want to scuba dive for it ;D

Kes and  Capt Bob. I agree with you. The trollers come to close, lose their spoons, and want us to pull anchor.  nts  nts  nosmly
