Rod/Reel recommendation
« on: May 21, 2009, 07:41:10 PM »

I'm interested in purchasing a rod/reel combination for fishing on the party boats.  It seems as if I am always the only person renting a rod when I go out.  My primary interests are fluke, ling, sea bass and other bottom species.  I am looking for something 'moderately' priced as I am a casual salt water angler, but don't want any el cheapo junk either.  Any info appreciated.

Welcome...I'd suggest a 7' Ugly Stik or Penn Power Stick paired with a Penn 310GT.
