out of Sayreville at 2 this afternoon with friend Ken and his wife Hon on their boat "The Breeze"they had some salted clams from a previous trip and also had picked up some bunker and squid, tried our hand at some fluking, but only managed a few shorts and some sea robins.good strong current with the wind on the out going so we switched over to trying for the striped ones.after a few moves ended up in the area of Flyn's Knoll around 5,started right off with action.had a steady pick of the striped ones and blues.we stayed here through the out going and the slack, pulled up once to reposition for the incoming and the swing,in the daylight all the bass were caught on clams, after dark they were inhaling bunker heads.we limited out on the bass with the largest being a 36 inch 17 pounder.great night of fishing, got back to the ramp a little after 11.
