Super early crap shot
« on: June 06, 2009, 04:34:34 PM »
Got up at 1;45 am to pick up my buddy and get down south before sunrise for the big fish blitze....Well, someone forgot to tell the fish that it was there time......Sooo   all the way to AP and farther south with no bites. Lots of bunker but no fish . Took a nice slow ride back north and then decided to run NE to NY waters.  Found A fleet and anchored up to use the bunker from down south.  Chumed, chunked and live lined and did not do anything. Watched 2 PB/CB pull up fish left and right on clams. wow was I mad. Nice fish too.    of course I had no clams.        Finally one of my livies was inhaled and I managed a 40-42" bass. Then It was time to leave.

I may try to get my wife to ok an afternoon trip for tomm.... Lets see.

Good try...I'll be going out tonight for a while to IBSP.  I hope they will cooperate later.

Great effort Keith. The one 40-42 incher sure does make a slow day of fishing worth while.  t^

Good try and a nice fish!

If I bring my wife down in the afternoon I know what would happen.
She would catch the most or biggest fish and all of the way home she would tell me how you don't have to get up early to catch the fish.

Good luck on Sunday, hope you get them.
Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!

Keith, That fish at 42" is nice. I didn't bring clams and went with bunker too. Nada.
 Fluking saved the day.
Go figure.
