Merrill Creek Report Sun 6 / 28
« on: June 29, 2009, 08:01:00 AM »
Met Steve & John at 4:30 am.

1st stop Boat & Bait.

Picked up 6 doz Herring and off we went.

When we arrived at Merrill Creek the parking lot was full with lots of Boat trailers and about 200 yds from the ramp there was alot of Bass boats waiting for a tourney to start.Steve launched his Monark and off we went.

The 1st dift was 1.5 hrs long and we caught stockie Browns. The Stockies were fat but not 1 Brown was over 15".

John also caught a 19" smallie that jumped 2 times.

Next drift was slow pickins but Steve landed the 1st laker.Several more Stockies were caught and Steve suggested we drop anchor and get a slick going.

John dropped the anchor and within mintues we had Stockies around the boat. For the next hr it was lights out with Stockies.

At 1 pm we called it a day.

Steve & John as usual I had a blast.
