COCK ROBIN- weekend report
« on: July 06, 2009, 09:06:26 AM »
some tough days of catching, hopefully the new week, moon and anything else we can think of will help!!

Wednesday is MARATHON WEDNESDAY. leave at 6am- back around 2:30p. NO EXTRA COST!!

Thursday is FISH DONATION DAY, benefiting the Joan Valentine House, Point Pleasant

EVERY WEEKDAY is Captain Jim's CAMP COCK ROBIN. Kids 8-15yrs sail with a dedicated mate.

One day good, next day.....not so good....

We have been heading to the east and finding fish.....only issue at times is the fish don't wanna eat!

Friday, July 3 DAY- not a good catching trip. Drifted over pockets of fish but catching was poor. Certainly not from a lack of effort.

Friday, July 3 NIGHT- still no improvement from the day trip.

Saturday, July 4 DAY- FINALLY improvement but not bang up. Everyone caught but the fish were not in an aggressive mode, every hook up was lip hooked and we had plenty of fish spit the jig at the boat. BEAUTIFUL day on the water

Sunday, July 5 DAY- again the fish went into lockdown. Plenty of quality readings but the fish just wouldn't commit.

Fish are here and the fishery will bust wide open as the Blues finish the spawn. Weather window looking good, so come on down and be the first at it!
